These terms govern your use of the BaseData website and the free NEC Housing tools we provide here. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by BaseData Business Intelligence Ltd ("BaseData", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11751494, with its registered office at The Barn, 31 Bridge Street, Hitchin, SG5 2DF. You can reach us through our contact page.

2. Using this site

You may use this site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or any system behind it, disrupt its operation, or use automated means to scrape, copy or overload it.

3. The NEC Housing tools

We provide the Schema Wiki, Explorer, Path-to-SQL finder and Business Objects extractor as free utilities for people working with NEC Housing data. They are offered for general reference and convenience:

The schema information is derived from NEC Housing and may be incomplete, simplified or out of date. It is not an official NEC product and is not endorsed by, or affiliated with, the system's vendor.
Any SQL these tools generate is a starting point only. You must review and test it before running it against any database. You are responsible for the queries you run and their effects.
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

4. AI features

The optional "AI clean-up" in the Business Objects extractor sends your extracted SQL to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) and returns a reformatted version. The output may contain errors and must be checked before use. Do not submit confidential, personal or sensitive data through this feature.

5. No professional advice

Our blog, guides and tools are general information, not professional, legal or consultancy advice. For advice on your specific situation, get in touch and we will scope it properly.

6. Intellectual property

The content, design and tools on this site are owned by BaseData or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view our pages and share links to them, but you may not copy, republish or reuse our content or tools without our permission. "NEC", "Power BI", "DRS" and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners, used here for identification only.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or its tools, including any reliance on the information or SQL they produce. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

9. Links to other sites

Where we link to third-party websites, we do so for convenience and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
